I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the stunning and intimate wedding of Kate and Luke at St Stephen's Church in Pamphill last month. Located just on the outskirts of Kingston Lacey it was built in 1907 by the Bankes family of Kingston Lacy House. St Stephen's is the most popular church in Dorset for couples to get married. Set in amongst the woodland with picturesque walks and scenery I can definitely see why.

I have actually known Luke since we were about 17 years old, it was a huge surprise to be greeted at the door by him when I had popped along for their first wedding consultation. I had been talking to Kate though Facebook and had no idea Luke was her partner until I met them that afternoon. After not seeing him for a good 9 years it was lovely to catch up and meet his soon to be wife and 5 year old son Ben.
After a few group photographs outside the church it was time for the confetti. For some reason (to my delight and everyone else's except Luke's) someone had the great idea to use lavender seeds as confetti. This went everywhere - and I mean everywhere! Luke actually ended up with it all in his mouth! Very fun for everyone else :) !

Once the guests headed to the reception venue, I whisked Kate and Luke off to the woods which we scoped out the week before. We bought along their super cute pups Wilfred and Rusty, who I think we can all agree scrubbed up very well for the days events!
I loved everything about this wedding. The simplicity, the colours, the flowers and dress made by friends and family, the location and of course the couple!
The Giles family have good, happy hearts and it was a pleasure to capture.
