Lusty Glaze - probably one of my favourite wedding venues in Cornwall. Just five minutes from my front door, a stunning privately owned cove tucked away on the outskirts of Newquay town centre. It is the only place in Cornwall you can legally get married on the beach. With gorgeous sunsets, hidden caves that appear at low tide and rolling waves, why wouldn't this be my dream venue to shoot at! I was over the moon when Lisa and Naomi asked me to be one of their recommended suppliers!
On a warm Saturday in September one of my oldest friends from Dorset was getting married to his dream girl. Dave and Amy are the embodiment of happiness and kindness. Nothing is too much for them, they would literally do anything for anyone if it meant they could help. Dave and Amy adore Cornwall and regularly visit. They had already planned their wedding on Lusty Glaze beach before I had even moved to Cornwall! I was so thrilled to move here and to capture this beautiful wedding! With Dorset friends, happy faces, sandy toes and a Greatest Showman first dance it was definitely a wedding I will never forget!
I was sooooo excited for this wedding. After a year of hard work of advertising and growing the business in Cornwall, capturing a few engagements and vow renewals, I was over the moon to be capturing this gorgeous wedding, and it couldn't get much more local!
Csaba & Grace live in Exeter but believe it or not Grace's parents live across the street from me. They were getting married at the quaint church of St Columb Minor (literally just round the corner from me), then were moving on the Bedruthan Steps Hotel. Just 5 miles north of Newquay, it overlooks the iconic and beautiful coastline known as The Bedruthan Steps. The Granite rocks that are dotted across the beach are, according to legend, stepping stones for the Giant Bedruthan.
With gorgeous sunflowers, sunshine and a hotel over looking the beach (and the surf), with a wonderful couple who could not stop smiling all day, I felt truly blessed to have been apart of this awesome wedding!
I had the pleasure of capturing the lovely Rob and Bex get married at Stockbridge Farm Barn, a gorgeous rustic barn a few miles from Sherborne. I met Rob and Bex a while back at their home in Southampton and we instantly clicked, their cats also loved me! They are a very chilled out couple who, like everyone, hates having their photograph taken. But having a stunning relaxed venue, a sunny day ad my relaxed approach set us on a very fun journey!
Due to the amazing weather we were lucky enough to have the wedding outdoors under the barn roof. It was absolutely perfect!
I had the absolute pleasure of capturing this gorgeous surprise vow renewal at Landal Gwel an Mor. Kevin and Linda have been married 38 years, Linda has always dreamt of having a wonderful vow renewal, which she was hoping would be for their 40th anniversary. However, Kevin had other ideas. He and family and been sneaky for almost a year! Contacting suppliers in Cornwall with secret emails and phone calls to get everything booked in. One of his first bookings was with the lovely Georgie at Kernow Civil Ceremonies, she holds beautiful and personal ceremonies across Cornwall. Finding everything she needs, Georgie will write your love story and make your ceremony one of a kind.
After Kevin had booked Georgie and the Yurt hut at Gwel an Mor, Georgie Kindly passed on my details to him. With secret emails and an odd phone call we were set for the vow renewal in August. Linda hadn't a clue what was going on. They had told her they had booked a family holiday to Cornwall. The morning of the wedding her daughter in laws and mother treated her to a pampering session and bought her a beautiful dress - as they were planning on having a very, very, VERY posh meal that afternoon! Little did she know she would be walking in to a stunning yurt with her husband in a pretend cast, (Kevin had broken his leg when they got married, so he had to recreate it!) and her loved ones around her...
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in July, the lovely Gavin and Ula got married. Ula is originally from Poland but her and Gavin live in Croydon. They adore Cornwall and felt they had to be married down this way. They picked a truly stunning venue - St Mawes Castle. Situated on Falmouth estuary, the grounds stretch down to the waters edge giving you uninterrupted views out to sea and over to Pendennis Castle. You can no longer get married in this stunning locations, so I am privileged to have been given this opportunity.
The day was full of smiles, laughter and canon fire!!! Here's a selection of their awesome day!
