With being in the wedding photography business for 12 years, there are questions I get asked over and over. So I thought, why not pop them all in one place? Yes, many will still ask because they don’t want to read the blog, but for the few of you that may read it—here you go!

What packages do you offer?
My packages for weddings start at 5 hours for £1450, and for micro weddings and elopements, it's a minimum of 2 hours for £650. Additional hours can be added to any packge for £195.
What's included in these prices?
Firstly, my time on the day, my creative eye, and my experience as a wedding photographer. Then there’s the editing— for every hour I shoot, there are around 2-3 hours of editing on top. There’s admin too. Yes, even a photographer who loves playing with photos has admin—emails, Zoom calls, phone calls, potential venue visits, uploading and creating your online galleries. Not to mention website work, blogs like this, and accounting. Yep, I’m a one-woman band over here!
Also included is my handmade wooden USB box set with prints, plus a tree planted in your name with every package.
How far in advance should we book?
I am currently taking bookings for 2026, and my 2027 diary will open at the end of September—all being well with my admin and editing duties. Some couples book two years in advance, whereas others book as little as three months ahead! It all depends on how you are planning your day.
Do you travel for weddings?
Of course! As a Cornwall wedding photographer and Devon wedding photographer, most of my weddings take place in these stunning locations. However, I also travel across the UK and beyond, capturing weddings in destinations like Paris, South Wales, The Cotswolds, Staffordshire, and West Sussex. The world is our oyster! There will just be extra travel expenses, as unfortunately, fuel isn’t free. But the bonus? Accommodation almost is! I have my own little campervan, so apart from booking into a campsite if needed, there are no additional accommodation charges.
Wedding at The Chateau Au Mailley, France. Can we request specific shots?
Yes indeed! Although I bring a more documentary approach to my wedding photography, if there are specific shots you’ve seen online that you’d like to recreate, share them with me and I’ll do my best to make them happen.
I don’t ask for a long list of things like rings, groomsmen, flowers, etc., as these naturally get captured throughout the day. However, I do ask for a group shot list—just so we don’t miss anyone important!
What is your photography style?
Relaxed, natural, and fun! My style as a natural wedding photographer brings a documentary approach with some loose posing and guidance when needed. I never want you to feel like there’s a camera in your face or that the photos are dragging on while you’re away from your guests. That’s no fun for anyone!
I’m there to capture it all and get you some epic shots to celebrate your marriage. I don’t get bossy unless I need to—like when getting 100 people into one group shot! Then, the big girl pants come out, and I make it as easy as possible so your canapés don’t waste away in the background.
When it comes to your couple shots, you’ll usually be running around on the beach or in a field, dipping your toes in the sea, and laughing at each other—and at me, as I run around with two or three cameras attached to me! I want it to be fun, and I want to capture moments, memories, and emotions. I never want you standing and staring at me thinking, "Well, this is bloody awkward, isn’t it?" I hate being in front of the camera myself, so I make it as easy as possible for you!
How many hours of coverage do you provide?
As many as needed, to be honest! My standard packages are 5 or 10 hours, but additional hours can be added for £195—even added on the day, and we can sort the payment afterward. For smaller, more intimate days, coverage starts from 2 hours, with additional hours at the same rate.
Do you offer pre-wedding shoots or engagement photography?
I do! These are not included in my wedding packages and cost £295 for 1-2 hours of fun, running around somewhere beautiful and getting to know each other.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
I deliver sneak peeks within the first week of your wedding—a small selection to get you excited for the full gallery. The full online gallery will arrive around 4-6 weeks after your wedding. If it’s peak season, this may extend to 6-8 weeks.
Can we see a full gallery of a recent wedding?
Of course! Many couples ask to see a full gallery to get an idea of what they’ll receive. I try to send one from the same venue, but that’s not always possible, as I need to check with the couple first before sharing. All I ask is that you don’t allow anyone else access—it’s the couple’s special day, after all.
What happens if you can’t make it on the day?
Thankfully, this has only happened twice, and that was due to COVID reschedules. I will always attend unless I’m literally on my deathbed. I’ve shot weddings with a partially torn hip flexor and with whiplash—I don’t like letting couples down! But if, in the rare event, I really cannot make it, I give my couples options:
I find an associate shooter—a photographer who covers the wedding on my behalf, and I still edit and deliver the gallery.
I refund you and help find another available photographer who takes over completely.
Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely! I have three camera bodies, three extra lenses, spare flashguns, and batteries—just in case!
How do you handle family photos?
Honestly? Quickly! Especially at big weddings. Gathering everyone can be hard work when they’ve wandered off to the loo, the bar, or their room. I make it as efficient as possible so you’re not wasting time.
I usually recruit a bridesmaid or groomsman (or both!) to help—preferably someone who’s loud and knows most of the guests. I always ask for a list so no one is missed. I spent a few years as a school photographer, so I’m a fast shooter—30 seconds per pupil, so about 1-2 minutes per group shot if we’re organised!
What’s your policy on cancellations or rescheduling?
There is a 14-day cooling-off period after signing the contract. After this, a 20% deposit is required and is non-refundable. Cancellations less than 12 weeks before the wedding will require full payment due to loss of earnings.
For rescheduling, if I’m available for your new date, your deposit will be transferred. All cancellations and reschedules must be given in writing.
Can you provide references from past clients?
Yes! You’ll find reviews on the testimonial page of my website, all taken from Google or Facebook. I also have a highlights reel on my profile filled with reviews and client emails.
Are you insured?
Yes! I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance up to one million. My camera equipment is also fully insured.
Hopefully this has answered some of those burning questions. If you have any more questions or would like to discuss your special day, feel free to get in touch! I’d love to hear from you!
