Ginny Weasley - "Seems silly, doesn't it? A wedding. |
The UK has gone in to panic buying pasta and loo roll, the government are debating whether or not schools should close and gatherings of 100 people or more should be cancelled. While I'm wondering if I can still surf and everything will be ok! We can't ignore it anymore. What will happen to your 2020 wedding with this virus?! Well, I am planning on attending EVERY wedding I have booked in my dairy - and no I am not planning on showing up in a hazmat suit or wearing a face mask! However, in the event that the sea and my multi vitamins can't save me from the dreaded lurgy, I of course will not rock up to your wedding ready to infect all your guests. In case of this event, I will treat it like any other illness as outlined in my contract. Behind the scenes the wedding industry is busy pulling together to form the COVID-19 alliance, so we can support each other if we need to. Meaning I will find someone awesome to cover for me on the day! But if you are in extreme panic - we have options! NUMBER 1: Scale Down Your Day! If you're having more than 100 guests it may be worth rethinking and cutting down your numbers, to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. NUMBER 2: Postpone Your Day! Yes, I am not a huge fan of this one either as I am super excited for all my 2020 weddings! But if you are in that much of panic over the Coronavirus, it may be an option to think about. | My AdviceDespite our options, I am not in panic over the COVID-19 outbreak. As I have said I am eagerly awaiting 2020 wedding season to kick off next week! I would be chatting to your wedding venues to ensure they have deep cleans and protocols in place to help reduce the spread of the virus. Chat to your guests and family to make sure they are cleaning their hands thoroughly, using the highly recommended method of singing Happy Birthday while they do this. Or perhaps another song of their choice! I would also recommend to all your guests to not show up to your wedding in a face mask - although it may make the wedding photos slightly more amusing to look back on! |
2020 Weddings VS Coronavirus
BRING IT ON!
What happens when a couple from Manchester with DJ's in the family plan a wedding in Cornwall I hear you ask.
Well...
It becomes the most amazing 3 day wedding festival you could possibly imagine!
Duane & Ellie got hitched on the Friday in front of their immediate family at the local registry office in town and spent Friday night with family and friends chilling before an incredible weekend.
The Saturday was the big day, I met Duane in the morning and followed him to Tremorna Farm down near Penzance. It was a glorious weekend filled with sunshine and sea views from the bottom field, which was perfectly set up for a mini festival. With a giant tipi, hay bails, various food trucks, festival style drink cups, food and bar tokens, flags and glamping pods scattered around, I knew that this weekend was going to be the best wedding ever.
And I promise it did not disappoint.
Everyone was dressed up ready for summer festival vibes, full of colour and flare and the venue came alive. The ceremony itself was beautiful. Held by the couples best friends, it was an elongated wedding speech filled with stories, laughter and tears, along with their own very, very beautiful vows...

Handmade in every way, gold sparkly DM's and dinosaurs - what more could you possible want from a wedding?!
Apart from a sea view and sunshine - NOTHING! And yes we were blessed with all of this, despite the yellow weather warning for rain!
I first had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca and Steve over coffee and cake, talking cameras and weddings - it was love at first sight! But who doesn't love cake?!
I was so excited hearing all about their day, their love for Dungeon & Dragons, Dinosaurs and food!
They had a handmade wedding, from bouquets to button holes, to wedding stationary and centre pieces and of course a golden dinosaurs as a keepsake! Which I am please to say I am the proud owner of one and is now my desk buddy!
Their whole day was beautiful, filled with laughter, smiles and tears - including my own. They wrote their own vows, I couldn't help it!
