I met Gemma and her girlies early Sunday morning where hair, make up and croissants where in full swing! It was very calm and relaxed which was quite surprising with 4 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls and of course Mum and Nan. But everything was in order and the sun was starting to shine! Once Gemma was in her dress and looking stunning, I quickly headed off to St James Church in Poole Town Centre. I was very excited to finally be doing a wedding at St James, situated on the corner of Thames Street and Church Street in old town Poole, it is often the backdrop to weddings I have shot at either the Guildhall or hotel Du Vin, sometimes even a portrait session. Church Street is my favourite street in Poole, so I was extremely excited to back there again for the Hoyland's wedding! As soon as I arrived at the church the heaven's opened, the groomsmen were quick to fetch guests under umbrellas and herd them inside to keep dry. Luckily as soon as Gemma arrived the rain stopped. Andy & Gemma's son Noah was eagerly awaiting her arrival, looking rather gorgeous in his shirt and bow tie with cousin Harry. The ceremony was perfect with family and friends around, who were very keen to get them both covered in confetti afterwards! It was such a beautiful day to be a part of, so thank you Andy & Gemma for letting me capture and share your special day.
