Luke & Rebecca's beautiful tea party wedding could quite possibly be my dream. Never have I ever seen so much cake in one marquee! I met Luke at the Broadstone Untied Reformed Church, where the wind was blowing, Luke was hiding to not ruin the hair, guests were arriving and we were saving car parking spots with all the arm flapping we could do, so Rebecca could arrive to the door. The wedding itself was delightful. Their families are part of the Broadstone Untied Reformed Church, so the atmosphere was wonderful with people singing, praying and enjoying themselves. It certainly makes a difference when all the guests sing in a church, I was blown away. We were greeted outside to a bundle of smiling faces ready for the confetti shot and my good friend Rob at RK Prestige Car Hire, who had the bubbles on ice ready for Luke and Rebecca. I quickly headed off to The Orangery Suite, a favourite venue of mine to work at, where the cake and Pimms were being unveiled ready for the wedding party. Rebecca is a seamstress, she actually made her bridesmaid dresses and Luke's waistcoat. Luke works in horticulture, so it only seemed fitting to decorate the homemade cakes with flowers, button holes and tape measure's. It was so pretty! Before Luke and Rebecca entered in to their heaven of tea and cake, I quickly took them off round the stunning walled gardens of The Orangery Suite for some photographs. Can I just mention Rebecca's stunning dress - made her wonderful friend! AND Luke's amazing suit - made by Rebecca herself!!!
I literally loved everything about this DIY wedding, I wish I could have taken it home with me - I did manage to take a lot of cake home, it was offered/given/forced don't worry ;) We then returned to the wedding guests where, the bestman entered them in to the gardens and the tea party commenced...
