Tredudwell Manor is a gorgeous Queen Anne style manor house set in three acres of beautiful gardens and lawns. It’s the perfect venue for any wedding photographer! So many beautiful spaces to use as backdrops, all very easy to work with. So when Emma and Patrick contacted me about photographing their special day at this beautiful wedding venue, I was thrilled. It all happened so fast with Patrick and I speaking just one week prior to the big day! Their original photographer unfortunately caught Covid and I happened to be free that weekend to cover their big day.
Driving through the countryside of Cornwall, heading towards Fowey in the back lanes of farms and fields the heavens opened. I knew we were in for a wet day but a bit of Cornish mizzle didn't affect Emma and Patricks epic day. They embraced every second of it! I arrived to a bustling room of hair and make up, flowers in the bath tub and the boys battling with button holes. It was all go go go!
After a short drive to St Mary's Catholic Church in Bodmin, we were met with their 160 guests filling up the congregation, awaiting what felt like the wedding of the year!!! Upon the return to Tredudwell Manor, we diverted to find the coastal path leading to the headland over looking Lanivet Bay. Mizzle in the air and a muddy path leading our way, we embraced the experience and were blown away by the views. Even on the greyest of days, Cornwall really is beautiful.
Pulling into the drive way of Tredudwell Manor, the sky light up and the clouds past. We were finally blessed with sunshine and gin! With their tropical festival theme inside and the rolling hills lit with Cornish sunshine it was time to let the party begin...
“Sofie managed to do this perfectly. She took some lovely and funny shots of us
and our guests while also making the most of the surrounding scenery – perfect
when you’re getting married in Cornwall! She’s very relaxed and fun to be
around, so it didn’t feel imposing at all.”
